Our relationship with Oman’s hospitality sector began in 2017 with a major project at Sheraton Muscat. This foundational work showcased how premium anti-slip treatment can blend seamlessly with high design standards.

In May 2024, we completed a signature installation at Al Bustan Ritz-Carlton, Muscat, treating 1,100 m² of pool deck surfaces. The result: a high-performance slip-resistant finish that preserves the luxury aesthetic guests expect.

As Oman continues to expand its luxury hotel portfolio, welcome new international events, and open world-class resorts — from coastal escapes to cultural hubs — safety remains paramount. Pool surrounds, spas, bathrooms, walkways, and back-of-house areas all demand proactive solutions that maintain elegance without compromise.

SWISSGriP® offers a long-lasting, discreet anti-slip treatment that enhances floor grip while keeping premium finishes intact. We help reduce accidents, protect guests and staff, and uphold your brand promise of refined hospitality.

We also provide Pendulum Slip Resistance Testing (PTV) — an internationally recognised benchmark in slip safety. This service enables hotels to verify compliance & mitigate risk with confidence. Advanced booking of at least three weeks is recommended.

The begining

SWISSGriP® entered the UAE market by distributing Swiss-made DIY kits to raise awareness about slip-and-fall risks, particularly in the hospitality sector. This campaign was launched in partnership with GreenCo System. By year-end, the company secured its first major project—treating 385 bathtubs at Sheraton Hotel, Muscat, Oman.

Expansion into Hospitality & Healthcare

The company delivered its first healthcare project at Saudi German Hospital, treating all patient room shower trays and entire bathroom floors. It also completed projects across various hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, including a large-scale treatment for a new TAJ Hotels property in Ahmedabad with 315 guest showers.

Acquired GreenCo and Established SWISSGriP® Middle East

Grip Safety Coatings AG, Switzerland, acquired GreenCo System and established SWISSGriP® Middle East as a wholly owned subsidiary. That same year, SWISSGriP® was appointed the exclusive vendor for Burj Al Arab (Jumeirah Group) to treat indoor pools, spa areas, showers, and corridors.

Regional Growth & Testing Services

SWISSGriP® surpassed 77,000 square meters of treated surfaces across landmark projects like Atlantis (suite washrooms), Waldorf Astoria The Palm, SIRO One Zabeel, and Marsa Al Arab. Expansion into Saudi Arabia began, with operations based in Riyadh. The company also launched certified Pendulum Slip Resistance Testing to help engineering teams make data-driven decisions.

Future Expansion

SWISSGriP® secured its largest project yet—treating 612 guest showers at a prestigious Marriott resort, marking a significant milestone in its growth. Building on its strong reputation, SWISSGriP® is now setting sights on expanding into India, Bali, and the Maldives, continuing its mission to make every surface safer.
